Lying Triceps Extension With Resistance Bands

Exercise / Triceps

There are many benefits to triceps extensions with resistance bands. They help to strengthen your triceps and target the upper and outer portion of your triceps. While many people use these exercises to build bigger arms, they’re also a great way to help relax your body and release your muscles.

How to perform the exercise

  • Anchor: Secure the band(s) to the door with the door anchor at the bottom of the door.
  • Bands: Attach a closed ankle strap or handle whichever you are comfortable with to each end of the band(s) and grip the loop of a strap with each hand. Your fingers should be inside the loop, and thumb on the outside.

Body Position:

  • Lay on the floor with your body facing away from the door, and your head about 2 to 3 feet away from the door or more for extra tension.
  • Keep your knees bent and together, feet flat on the floor and elbows tight to your side.
  • Start with your arms bent, hands directly over your chest, and palms facing forward.

  • Push the handles out towards your feet, straightening your arms.

Exercise Tips

  • Try to keep your elbows down and static/still at your sides.

Exercise Benefits

Lying Triceps Extension With Resistance Bands is an extraordinary isolation exercise for the Triceps as the rest of your body gets stability because of the floor. It can likewise be the ideal exercise in an overly tiring daily schedule, where you may require a break from standing.
